Method validation

Method validation group 2018

Method validation is a critical issue for laboratories, particularly medical biology laboratories, with regard to standard ISO 15189: 2012. It provides assurance that laboratory analyses are being conducted properly.

The aim of this Validation/Verification of Methods and Accreditation Process training course was to provide knowledge in the field of quality and especially about analytical processes.

Writing method validation files is a highly technical activity, which can require a lot of energy. This is why the other important objective of this course was to enable people to acquire the necessary skills to carry out this activity at their particular level.

The program included a theoretical section in the classroom and a more practical section with group work. The lucky participants were also able to enjoy a tour of the Bio24 laboratories and the premises of the Pasteur Institute in Dakar. The aim was to learn about the organization of these two exemplary, accredited structures.

With 20 participants from a dozen different countries, the exchange of experiences and practices was very enriching.
