This workshop was designed to teach lab personnel about metrology, the science of measurement. It addressed concepts such as accuracy, consistency, precision, and maximum permissible error, as well as how to measure uncertainty.
A discussion of critical and non-critical equipment helped participants focus on the necessary tools for effective metrology. Measurements using pipettes and scales as well as temperature management were examined in depth.
